Onboarding sits between join and full access. You can ask up to five questions, or skip questions and require a rules click. Answers are posted to a staff channel you choose. Thea does not keep them. Configure this in Settings → Onboarding, or with /onboarding in Discord.

The cards

You can run with no questions — the panel button is the whole flow (rules acknowledgment).

Privacy

  • Answers are posted to the staff channel only. Thea does not store, log, or train on them after delivery.
  • If a question asks for email or phone, that staff channel must not be readable by @everyone. The dashboard warns if it is.
  • Passwords, payment details, identity documents, and similar are blocked at save time.
Asking members for passwords, 2FA codes, card numbers, or wallet phrases violates Acceptable use and can suspend the workspace.

Reminders

Reminders go to a channel you choose, not the panel channel. Thea batches members who have not finished rather than DMing each person. Completing the form removes them from later batches. Reminders run at most for 7 days after join.

Raid mode and Discord screening

While raid protection is active, onboarding reminders and new submissions pause so a join surge cannot flood the staff channel. The same is true while Discord’s own membership screening is holding the member. Both resume when the hold lifts. Welcome is also held until a member passes the raid check.

Discord commands

If you only need proof someone read the rules, use a panel with no questions. It collects no data.
