Settings → Backup & clone is how you copy a server’s Thea configuration. Use it to snapshot production, seed a staging server, or move settings to a new community.

Export

Click Export to download a JSON file of this server’s settings. The snapshot includes answering, handoff, welcome, tickets, AutoMod, raid protection, logging, saved replies, and related configuration. You can also start an export from Discord:
That command gives you a link to the same dashboard download. It does not attach the file in Discord.
Export is configuration, not your knowledge index. Documents, passages, conversations, and ticket transcripts stay on the original server.

Import

Import applies a previously exported file to this server.
  1. Open Settings → Backup & clone.
  2. Choose the JSON file.
  3. Review the preview of what will change.
  4. Apply.
The preview is there so you can see every card that will be overwritten before you confirm.

Clone to another server

If you manage more than one server with Thea, Clone copies this server’s configuration to another server you have settings access on. Pick the target, review the preview, and apply. You need Settings write permission on the destination. Billing, API keys, and the knowledge index are not cloned.
