Announcements let staff schedule a message to a Discord channel from the dashboard or with /announce. Thea runs output moderation on the text before it posts, the same fail-closed check used on answers. Open Announcements in the server sidebar.

Create an announcement

  1. Choose the channel.
  2. Write the message. You can add an optional embed title.
  3. Send now, or set a delay.
  4. On Pro and Business, you can also repeat it daily, weekly, or monthly.
One-off announcements are available on every plan, including Free. Recurrence is paid because each send runs output moderation again.

From Discord

Optional options:
  • delay — minutes to wait (0–10,080, which is 7 days)
  • embed title — title on the embed
/announce requires Manage Server.

What members see

Thea posts as itself, in the channel you chose. If output moderation blocks the text, the announcement is not sent and the dashboard records the failure.
